Fabyan Parkway - Illinois Route 31 to Illinois Route 25

PROJECT OVERVIEW
A feasibility study was completed for Fabyan Parkway at Route 31. This study considered various realignment alternatives to adjust the skewed geometry on Fabyan Parkway. Additionally, options were considered to increase the capacity of the intersection to address traffic delay concerns. The study which lasted approximately two years, examined traffic volumes, crash histories, drainage patterns, the Fabyan Parkway bridge over the Fox River, environmental and stakeholder concerns.
The project is now moving to preliminary engineering, where alternatives that were presented in the feasibility study will be further developed and additional environmental impacts and stakeholder concerns will be addressed. Ultimately, a design will be chosen for this intersection that will also include improvements to the Fabyan Parkway bridge over the Fox River and the intersection of Fabyan Parkway at Route 25.
Stakeholders and the public have been engaged early on in the project and will continue to be engaged as the project progresses. As more information develops, updates will be provided.
